The multi-year collaboration will feature content, campaigns and experiences around how Tendulkar uses ChatGPT for learning, idea development and personal interests.
OpenAI has partnered with Sachin Tendulkar in a multi-year collaboration that will showcase how the former cricketer uses ChatGPT across his personal and professional life. The partnership will bring Tendulkar’s experiences with the AI tool into a series of content, campaigns and experiences, with a focus on practical ways people can use ChatGPT to learn, develop ideas and explore interests.
Tendulkar said he was introduced to ChatGPT by his daughter Sara while planning a family holiday. Since then, he has incorporated the tool into his preparation and creative process, using it to organise and refine ideas as well as explore interests including cars, golf and cooking.
“Much of my learning starts with a question. With ChatGPT, I can keep asking, build on an idea and explore something at my own pace, whether I’m preparing for a speech or learning about something I enjoy. Through this partnership, I want to share what I find useful and learn what else I can do. I hope that gives more people a starting point to try it for themselves, with something they care about,” said Sachin Tendulkar.
The collaboration opens with a teaser in which Tendulkar asks ChatGPT to identify him through a series of 10 questions. More videos featuring Tendulkar and entrepreneur and creator Varun Mayya will follow, with the content drawing on Tendulkar’s existing use of ChatGPT and areas he wants to explore with the tool.
Prabhjeet Singh, managing director – India, OpenAI, said: “AI has the potential to help people learn more, explore more, and do things that might previously have felt out of reach. Realising that potential in India means helping more people see what AI can do for them and giving them the confidence to use it. That’s why this partnership with Sachin matters. He connects with generations of Indians, and his own experience with ChatGPT can help people see a starting point for themselves, whether that’s pursuing an interest, developing an idea or trying something new.”
The partnership comes as ChatGPT adoption in India continues to grow. According to OpenAI, twice as many people in India use ChatGPT today compared with last year, with writing and communication, education and learning, and information seeking among the most popular use cases. Through the collaboration, OpenAI is using Tendulkar’s own experience with ChatGPT to demonstrate how the tool can fit into everyday learning, preparation and exploration rather than being limited to a single type of task.
