Two journeys that began in the same year now come together in Mantra Group’s latest brand film. Featuring actor and brand ambassador Ranbir Kapoor alongside Rohit Gupta, managing director of Mantra Group, the film draws parallels between their professional journeys, both of which began in 2007, while highlighting the real estate company’s growth and evolving ambitions.
The film marks a first for the brand’s communication, bringing Gupta on screen alongside Kapoor. Through their shared starting point, the narrative connects two different journeys shaped by legacy backgrounds and the decision to build individual identities. It also places Mantra Group’s evolution within this larger story, tracing its growth from a Pune-based real estate business to a presence across multiple markets.
Founded in Pune in 2007, Mantra Group has expanded into Mumbai and international markets, building a portfolio across residential, commercial, retail and luxury real estate. The group’s ambitions have also extended into branded residences through its partnership with luxury brand Jacob & Co. for a development at Al Marjan Island in the UAE.
The film forms part of the company’s wider brand communication campaign, ‘The Festival of Choices’, which brings its diverse real estate portfolio together under a common consumer-facing platform. Kapoor, who has been associated with Mantra Group as its brand ambassador, continues to be central to the brand’s communication.
Reflecting on the association and the parallel between their journeys, Rohit Gupta, managing director, Mantra Group, said: “When we started Mantra in 2007, our focus was on building a strong business in Pune and earning the trust of the families we served. Over the years, that foundation has given us the confidence to think beyond individual projects and build a larger Group with ambitions across markets and segments. What makes this association with Ranbir particularly interesting is the parallel in our journeys. We both began in 2007, came from legacy backgrounds and chose to build identities of our own.
Both journeys have been about evolving, exploring new possibilities and creating a distinct space. Having him represent Mantra at this stage of our growth, while coming together in this brand film, makes the association especially meaningful for us. It reflects not just where we are today, but also the ambition with which we look ahead.”
The film takes an interesting approach to real estate branding by connecting the company’s growth story with the personal journey of its brand ambassador and leadership. Instead of relying entirely on property showcases or project-led messaging, Mantra Group uses a shared milestone to communicate ideas of ambition, evolution and building an identity. As the company expands across markets and enters newer segments such as branded residences, this storytelling approach gives its larger portfolio a more unified identity. The bigger challenge will be translating that brand narrative into stronger recognition and trust across the different markets it now serves.
