The Creative Director’s latest collection introduces new optical styles alongside sunglasses, blending archival-inspired silhouettes with modern proportions and a futuristic wraparound design.

A year into his role as Ray-Ban’s first-ever Creative Director, A$AP Rocky is expanding his creative footprint with his debut metal collection for the eyewear brand.

The collection brings Rocky’s take on Ray-Ban’s design heritage across both sunglasses and optical frames, introducing his first optical designs for the brand. Drawing from eyewear references from previous decades, the range revisits familiar shapes with updated proportions and a contemporary finish.

At the centre of the collection are bold wire frames and rimless sun and optical styles, spanning soft oval curves and narrow rectangular silhouettes. The frames are offered in metallic shades, with minimalist construction and distinctive proportions giving classic shapes a more modern character.

The collection also introduces a more futuristic wraparound model, positioned as a statement silhouette and available exclusively at selected Ray-Ban stores. The design pushes beyond conventional interpretations of classic eyewear while retaining the collection’s focus on shape and material.

The launch is accompanied by a campaign film featuring A$AP Rocky and rap icon Nas, set inside a late-night New York City diner. Bringing together two generations of hip-hop and cultural influence, the film draws on the visual atmosphere of the 1990s while presenting it through Rocky’s contemporary creative lens.

The collaboration reflects Rocky’s approach to his role at Ray-Ban: using the brand’s heritage as a starting point while reinterpreting its established design language rather than simply reproducing archival styles.

With the new collection, Rocky continues to bring together fashion, music and visual culture through his work with Ray-Ban, while the brand expands its eyewear offering across heritage-inspired forms, optical styles and more experimental silhouettes.
