Country Delight’s latest digital film, featuring Vijay Sethupathi, builds its story around the nostalgia attached to everyday habits.
The film opens with a child’s drawing and a conversation involving a cow and dinosaurs, setting up a light-hearted exchange between the father and daughter. As their interaction continues, the discussion leads to the taste of milk and the memories associated with it. For the father, that taste becomes a reminder of childhood — and of habits that once felt like a natural part of everyday life but may have faded with age. The film captures this shift through the relationship between the two characters, using humour to explore how family routines and childhood experiences are changing. With children increasingly spending time on their phones, the story also looks at the small moments and habits that can get left behind. The idea comes together through the line ‘Pazhaya Pazhakkam. Puthiya Thodakkam’, encouraging people to reconnect with some of the old habits that once brought them comfort.
Alongside Vijay Sethupathi, the film features Anandhi Ajay, Ardra Narayan, Arnav Vineeth, Vijayalakshmi and Karthik. Rajesh Ramaswamy has directed the film, with Balaji Ramesh as the scriptwriter. Om Prakash is the director of photography, while Hari Prasad Uday, Farooq Mohammed and George K Antony are the creative producers. Rather than relying on nostalgia as a standalone emotion, Country Delight builds it into a familiar family interaction, showing how something as everyday as the taste of milk can bring back memories of a simpler time.
