The latest film uses a simple metaphor to show why addressing the root of a skincare concern can matter more than treating what is visible on the surface. Foxtale has released the second film in its campaign featuring Shah Rukh Khan, building on the skincare brand’s ‘Surface to Source’ philosophy.

The film centres on the idea that a visible skincare concern may not necessarily be the root of the problem. Instead of repeatedly treating what appears on the skin, Foxtale’s approach focuses on understanding the underlying source of the concern. The campaign extends the brand’s ‘Let Your Glow Through’ message, positioning skincare as a way to address the factors that may be keeping the skin’s natural appearance from coming through. The latest execution uses Shah Rukh Khan to communicate the idea through a non-product-led narrative, with the metaphor carrying the central message rather than a direct product demonstration.

Romita Mazumdar, founder & CEO, Foxtale, said: “We’ve always believed that skincare is most effective when you understand what’s actually causing a concern, rather than repeatedly treating what’s showing up on the surface.

That’s what Surface to Source means to us. You don’t just want to manage a problem every time it appears. You want to understand it well enough to address where it begins. ‘Let Your Glow Through’ is the natural expression of that belief. We’re not trying to create a version of you that doesn’t exist. We’re trying to help your glow come through.” The film is the latest chapter in Foxtale’s broader campaign around ‘Surface to Source’, with Khan helping the brand bring the philosophy to life through a narrative-led approach.
