KFC has teamed up with global streaming personality IShowSpeed for its latest campaign, tapping into his long-standing fandom for the brand to launch its new ‘Hot Ranch Big Dip’.

The collaboration comes as ranch continues to dominate American food culture. KFC’s Hot Ranch Big Dip, which went live on August 24, is being offered alongside the returning Double Crispy Hot Wings, as the brand leans into the popularity of ranch with a spicy twist.

The partnership also builds on IShowSpeed’s years-long association with KFC. The streamer has frequently spoken about his love for the fast-food chain and has tried KFC at locations around the world. His fandom even led to a viral moment when KFC surprised him with a lifetime supply of the brand.

In the campaign’s 60-second film, titled ‘KFC Hot Ranch’, Speed is told that he is shooting a commercial for “Hot Ranch”. Taking the phrase literally, he assumes he is headed to an actual hot ranch.

The misunderstanding is cleared up when he learns that “Hot Ranch” refers to KFC’s new Hot Ranch Big Dip. The sauce is positioned as a dip for the brand’s Double Crispy Hot Wings, wedges and crispy fried chicken.

After discovering that KFC is launching the new dip, Speed decides to rethink the entire commercial concept. He then comes up with his own interpretation: “Hot ranch on a hot ranch.”

The film ends with Speed embracing the idea and delivering the campaign’s punchline: “Hot ranch ain’t KFC? You gotta double dip it.”

The campaign is set to extend beyond the initial launch, with KFC and IShowSpeed teasing more collaborations, fan interactions and surprises later this fall.
