Snapchat Unveils Affiliate Program to Boost Ad Growth and Creator Revenue

Snapchat has introduced a new Affiliate Program that enables creators and publishers to earn commissions by referring new advertisers to the platform’s ad services. The initiative is part of Snapchat’s broader effort to grow its advertising business, particularly among small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

How It Works

Through the Snapchat Affiliate Program, creators will receive a competitive commission for every qualified advertiser they refer who signs up and launches a Snap ad campaign within 90 days. Each creator will be provided with a unique referral link to track sign-ups and campaign activations.

To support affiliates, Snapchat is offering a range of marketing tools, including approved promotional assets and step-by-step guides designed to help partners attract and convert potential advertisers.

The program is powered by PartnerStack, a partner relationship management platform that handles tracking, reporting, and commission payouts.

A Strategic Move to Drive Growth

The launch of the affiliate program signals Snapchat’s renewed focus on monetising its creator ecosystem and expanding its advertiser base, particularly as growth in core markets like the U.S. and Europe has slowed. By incentivising creators to become advocates for Snap’s ad platform, the company aims to unlock new revenue streams while giving creators another way to monetise their influence.

This move follows a broader industry trend where social platforms increasingly rely on creators not just for content but also for business development and platform advocacy.

Snapchat has not yet disclosed the exact commission structure but describes it as competitive, with potential for meaningful earnings depending on referral performance. The company is expected to expand the program’s reach and resources in the coming months.
