The media company will manage exclusive advertising rights at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, covering digital, static, branded and experiential formats.
Laqshya Media Group has secured the exclusive advertising rights at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, the greenfield airport at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram district. The airport now handles scheduled commercial traffic for Visakhapatnam under the IATA code VTZ, recording around 52–54 air traffic movements and approximately 7,000 passengers a day. It has an initial annual capacity of six million passengers.
Under the mandate, Laqshya will manage the airport’s advertising inventory across digital, static, branded and experiential formats. The media solutions will be planned around passenger movement, dwell time and the terminal’s architecture. Bhogapuram becomes the fourth airport in Laqshya’s portfolio, following its mandates at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, Cochin International Airport and Noida International Airport. The win also extends the company’s existing relationship with GMR.
Alok Jalan, CMD, Laqshya Media Group, said: “This is a proud moment for Laqshya as we extend our partnership with the GMR Group to another important gateway city on India’s eastern seaboard. Airports have become some of the most valuable media environments in the country, and the scale and ambition of Bhogapuram make it a natural fit for our growing portfolio. As we continue to expand our presence across premium media assets and key markets, we look forward to bringing the same standard of innovation and craftsmanship that defines our work across Hyderabad, Cochin and Noida to this new gateway for North Andhra Pradesh.”
Shashi Sinha, CEO, Laqshya Hyderabad Airport Media, said: “Visakhapatnam presents a strong business opportunity for Laqshya and our advertising partners. With the airport now serving as the region’s key aviation gateway, we see significant potential to build a robust and commercially attractive media business across digital, static, branding and experiential formats. Our focus will be on developing the inventory strategically, maximising the value of each media asset and creating solutions that deliver strong visibility and measurable value for advertisers.”
