JioStar has brought together Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal in a new promotional film ahead of the simultaneous launch of the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions of Bigg Boss.
The four hosts, who front the respective regional versions of the reality franchise, come together for a light-hearted crossover that brings the four markets into one campaign narrative. The promo uses food and cultural references from their respective states to build the interaction, while highlighting the distinct personalities of each host.
The film arrives ahead of September 6, when Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam are set to premiere simultaneously across JioStar’s television channels and JioHotstar.
For JioStar, bringing the four hosts together also creates a larger promotional moment around the upcoming season, connecting audiences across the South Indian markets while retaining the individual identity of each regional edition.
Krishnan Kutty, head, entertainment (South), JioStar, said: “Each of our four hosts has a very distinct equation with his audience, and that relationship is an important part of what makes Bigg Boss so powerful in every market.
This promo gave us an opportunity to bring Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal together in a way that is fun, rooted in the cultures of the South and true to their personalities. For fans, seeing all four of them share the screen is a moment in itself. It captures the scale and excitement we are building towards as all four editions begin together.”
The crossover marks a promotional push for the new season across four regional markets, with the familiar hosts returning to lead their respective editions as the franchise enters another season of regional storytelling, competition and entertainment.
Bigg Boss Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam will premiere simultaneously on September 6 across JioStar’s respective television channels and JioHotstar.
