Mumbai-based cultural strategy firm Folk Frequency has launched its latest report, ‘India 2030,’ providing an in-depth look at the country’s rapidly changing cultural and market landscape. Targeted at CMOs, policymakers, and investors, the report goes beyond typical trend analysis to offer a long-term strategic perspective on the shifts shaping India’s future.

The report identifies over 30 key cultural transformations and delivers practical insights for businesses across sectors to adapt their brand positioning, consumer engagement, and communication strategies in the years ahead.

Leading the research is Gayatri Sapru, an applied anthropologist and strategy expert with a track record of advising global giants like Apple, Google, and Accenture, alongside prominent Indian brands such as BookMyShow and Tanishq. This report builds on her earlier foresight work, including the ‘India 2020’ vision presented at Google Singapore, aiming to bridge the critical gap between culture, history, consumer behavior, and business strategy.

Sapru emphasized, “As the founder of a cultural advisory firm, I’ve noticed a significant disconnect between raw data, cultural understanding, and strategic planning. In today’s AI-driven world, many companies focus on rapid data mining but overlook deep, longitudinal qualitative insights that connect past and present cultural forces with business capital. That’s why clients often tell us, ‘We didn’t see this coming.’ Our role is to bring that missing depth, context, and foresight.”

Folk Frequency’s previous report, ‘Girl Uninterrupted’ (2022), redefined how brands approached Gen Z in India’s heartland and became a valuable resource for Fortune 50 companies. Building on that foundation, ‘India 2030’ offers a comprehensive framework to help decision-makers successfully navigate the country’s evolving cultural and economic terrain over the next decade.
